Lauren has been working in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) since 2009, bringing more than 15 years of clinical, leadership, and teaching experience to families and professionals across Alabama and beyond.
She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Spanish from Auburn University and went on to complete her Master of Science in Applied Behavior Analysis with a focus on Developmental Disabilities there as well. Her academic background is grounded in both research and real-world application, with additional doctoral-level coursework in behavior analysis and professional development. Her career has spanned nearly every setting in which behavior analysis lives: private and public schools, residential programs for children and adolescents with disabilities, in-home family consultation, and clinic-based services. She has taught undergraduate-level ABA coursework and has supervised and mentored dozens of clinicians pursuing BCBA and BCaBA certification.

Her clinical interests and expertise include:
- Emergent Language and Relational Frame Theory (RFT)
- Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Consulting
- Supervision and Dissemination of ABA
- BCBA Supervision and Mentorship Programs
- Behavioral Pharmacology and Interdisciplinary Collaboration
- Systems-level Quality Assurance and Program Development
- Autism and Intellectual Disability Services
- Parent, Teacher, and Staff training
- Ethics and Evidence Based Practice
Lauren founded a clinical practice with the mission of providing families access to ethical, compassionate, and high-quality ABA services while building strong clinical leaders from within the field. That mission led to a successful partnership with a national agency, expanding access to services throughout Alabama while maintaining a standard of excellence in training and care. After a successful acquisition and exit, Lauren has been dedicated to guiding others looking to make an impact in the field through her experiences.
Today, through Elliott Behavioral Consulting, Lauren focuses on consultation, mentorship, and professional development for behavior analysts, educators, and organizations seeking to strengthen both clinical outcomes and ethical practice. Lauren is deeply committed to developing the next generation of ethical, confident, and competent behavior analysts. Her mentorship and cohort programs are designed to bridge the gap between certification and real-world clinical leadership; because knowing the science is only half the job; applying it with wisdom and compassion is the art.
She is actively involved in advancing the field of Applied Behavior Analysis at both the state and professional levels. Lauren currently serves on the state level association for behavior analysis and state licensing boards, allowing her to advocate for the integrity of the profession while supporting clinicians at every stage of their careers.
At the heart of her work is a simple belief: behavior analysis should be both scientifically rigorous and deeply human. Families deserve services that are effective and kind. Clinicians deserve mentorship that is practical, honest, and rooted in values. Elliott Behavioral Consulting exists to support both.
